Product Description

The camping tent is a shelter consisting of sheets of fabric or other material draped over, attached to a frame of poles or attached to a supporting role. a tent is a portable shelter made of canvas or other material that is stretched over poles and held up by stakes, or a plug of gauze placed in an open wound to keep it open. … An example of a tent is a gauze plug placed in a bullet wound on the battlefield.

These tent poles are made of a material that must be flexible, strong and lightweight. Aluminium alloys and fibreglass are the most common tent pole materials. Each of these materials offers different benefits. Fibreglass tubes slip into a larger diameter, external ferrules at the joints.

Gore-Tex is both waterproof and breathable but it is not measured in the standard mm. It is reckoned to be comparable to a waterproof fabric rated at 20,000mm to 60,000mm. Modern tents are made from several different fabrics, including coated polyester, coated nylon, and cuben fibre. This is actually quite likely to happen, and it’s not a manufacturing fault in the tent. The weave on polycotton or canvas is much courser when new, with lots of tiny holes. Water can come through the stitching and the material. However, after a few times it gets wet, the weave tightens up and becomes very waterproof.

Camping is an outdoor activity involving overnight stays away from home in a shelter, such as a tent. ….. (For more information on facilities, see the campsite and RV park articles.) Today’s campers have a range of comforts available to them

Camping tent Maintenance

Clean the tent poles with a soft, dry cloth. This is especially necessary after oceanside camping trips to remove salt spray so the poles don’t corrode or stay gritty. Clean the zippers with a quick dip in water and then dry them off. This is especially important if you’ve been camping in a location with sand/dirt.
